To ensure a positive and respectful experience for everyone, we have established a Code of Conduct (seen below) which applies to all IAA events’ attendees, including speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff. By attending any event, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
Respect and Inclusivity:
Treat all individuals with respect, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other characteristic.
Be inclusive and considerate of diverse perspectives and experiences.
Avoid engaging in discriminatory or harassing behaviour, including, but not limited to, offensive language, unwelcome comments, or any form of bullying or intimidation.
Professional Conduct:
Conduct yourself professionally at all times, adhering to the event’s rules and guidelines.
Refrain from disruptive behaviour that may hinder the event or spoil the experience of others.
Seek permission before taking photographs, recording, or sharing personal information of other attendees.
Harassment and Unacceptable Behaviour:
Harassment, in any form, will not be tolerated. This includes offensive comments, unwelcome advances, or any behaviour that creates an uncomfortable or hostile environment.
Be attentive to the comfort and consent of others. Always obtain explicit consent before engaging in physical contact.
If you witness or experience harassment or unacceptable behaviour, please report it to event organizers or staff promptly.
Consequences of Violations:
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in appropriate action, including, but not limited to, warnings, removal from the event without a refund, and being banned from future events.
Remember that this Code of Conduct extends to all event-related spaces, both physical and online, including social media platforms and communication channels.
