Why did you get involved with the IAA ELC?
“I got involved because I wanted to give back to those starting out in the industry by helping to curate an experience and a network that, I believe, can set up future leaders in a complex industry.
I also joined because I saw how incredible the committee was and in what they were achieving so I wanted to be a part of it.”

What’s the best thing about the ELC?
“Imagine being thrown into a pandemic and having to problem solve to make sure that we’re showing up for the young leading in the industry when IRL events aren’t possible. Finding a way to bring people together in a meaningful way. Essentially developing skills that you wouldn’t necessarily obtain from your main job.”

What advice would you give to someone wanting to join the committee?
“Show up as yourself. Be authentically yourself and don’t be afraid to add a new or different perspective. We need new ideas and concepts that will continue to help bring PAC and other networking events forward in terms of progress.”

How are you finding your time on the committee?
“It can be challenging to give time towards the committee, especially with a demanding day job. But overall I find it is very fulfilling to engage with emerging leaders from different backgrounds and areas of expertise. #neverstoplearning”

Fun fact about yourself!
“I once auditioned for Great British Bakeoff (back in its BBC days) and got through to the final stages. It wasn’t a piece of cake. 🍰”
