Why did you get involved with IAA SC?
“I was introduced to the IAA earlier this year and have only heard good things, making it a no-brainer to get involved with the social committee when the opportunity came around. Considering I’m in the early stages of my career, it has been a privilege to be a part of the IAA community and I have loved the opportunity to network and learn as I go.”
What’s the best thing about the SC?
“Even though I’m only a few months in, everyone I’ve come across has been incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everyone brings something to the table and I have loved meeting people from different corners of the advertising community. It’s also been great to be part of a community after the past 2 years, especially getting to meet in person and plan some fun events that will hopefully bring people together again.”
What advice would you give to someone who was considering joining the committee?
“To go for it! I’m very glad that I made the decision to jump onboard – I’ve been able to work with a great group of people and everyone was super helpful when I first got stuck in. With the support of the team, you’ll pick things up quickly and learn a lot about industry along the way.”
How are you finding your time on the committee?
“Though I’ve just started, it has been an experience that I’ve relished so far and something fun to work on outside my day-to-day job. I am excited to see everything come together at the Summer Ball and for what’s to come in our next events.”
