Richard Swindell

Why did you get involved with the IAA ELC?
“I attended PAC in 2016 and was blown away by the event and was so impressed at what the committee pulled together. The dedication of the delegates and all of the brilliant work that came out of that year was facilitated by the excellent organisation of the committee, and made it one of the most memorable moments of my career so far. After attending other IAA events throughout that year, I jumped at the chance to be a part of the team and have been involved now for over 5 years.”

What’s the best thing about the ELC?
“Always getting to meet and work with such a wide variety of brilliant people from all across the industry. Being involved with PAC specifically means we all get to meet so many exceptional delegates and I feel really lucky to get the chance to do that each year.”

What advice would you give to someone wanting to join the committee?
“Tell us! Get involved with some of the events throughout the year and let one of us know. Being on the ELC is one of the most fun and rewarding things you can do in media so don’t hold back!”

How are you finding your time on the committee?
“I’ve loved every second of it so far, from the challenges of the first PAC to the fun of spending time with an incredible group of people. Wouldn’t change a thing!”

Fun fact about yourself!
“I once invented a device that prevents manatees from getting hit by boats.”
