Mark Howarth

Why did you get involved with IAA PDC?
“I attended PAC as a delegate and fell in love. I knew from then on that media was the place for me and the IAA was an organisation I needed to be a part of.”

What’s the best thing about the PDC?
“Witnessing the eureka moment ‘happen’ on people’s faces when they realise what’s possible in the industry, how they can change their place of work for the better or just how to handle something they didn’t think they could control – most notably during Speed Mentoring sessions!”

What advice would you give to someone who was considering joining the committee?
“No matter what stage of your career you find yourself in and regardless of highs or lows you may be feeling as part of the industry, the IAA is a place where you will find nothing but support, new opportunities and most importantly, the chance to help others learn from your achievements and your mistakes.”

How are you finding your time on the committee?
“Erm, living the dream! It’s demanding but in a good way and it’s great to be part of a growing organisation that is truly striving to make a difference. We have a wonderful team and a bursting energy to make things happen.”

Why did you want to join the committee?
“I was invited to join by the media legends that are Katie Ingman and Griff Leader and well, I couldn’t say no!”
