Why did you get involved with IAA SC?
“I had the pleasure of Fred coming to speak at my company five years ago when I was at Viacom and was inspired by the IAA given my position in the international partnerships space. I immediately wanted to get involved and asked him if any positions were available. I’ve always loved organising events and bringing people together so it seemed like a natural fit for me.”
What’s the best thing about the SC?
“The social committee has been a brilliant way to network with like minded people whilst having a great time putting on lots of fun moments for the wider international advertising community. I feel very lucky to be able to work alongside some of the most talented, smart and creative people in this committee, which is the stand out “best thing” for me.”
What advice would you give to someone who was considering joining the committee?
“I would have to say to anyone, take the leap, show your passion for your committee and how you can contribute to it. Above all, before doing anything, think of the area where you can add the most value. Don’t be afraid to reach out to any of the Committee VPs, they are approachable and always passionate about helping others. You will never regret joining an IAA committee!”
How are you finding your time on the committee?
“I have been privileged to have been on the committee for nearly four years and there has never been a dull moment. I find it such a rewarding experience alongside my role at TikTok and a highlight would definitely be selling out the IAA Christmas lunch in 2021. All of us seeing the amazing international advertising community back together again was special and I cannot wait to see how the Summer Ball shapes up in 2022, the Hurlingham Club is such a wonderful location.”
