Daniel Christie

Why did you get involved with IAA TLC?
“I was previously involved with TLC’s predecessor – the Business Lunch Committee (BLC), before I moved to my current role at Euronews. I wanted to get back involved with the IAA following my experiences on BLC, so was eager to join this latest evolution when I heard about it.”

What part of getting involved in the committee are you most looking forward to?
“I’m really looking forward to getting our first events off the ground, and finally having our first in person events since pre-pandemic times. It will be great to see everyone again.”

What is a fun fact about you?
“Louis Theroux has watched me on TV. I was lucky enough to present at the BBC Showcase in my previous role, and Louis Theroux was our headline speaker. This meant I got to hang out in the green room backstage at BBC Radio Theatre with him, and he got to learn about the great ROI’s and CTR’s of my campaign case study – as it was beamed live to the TV backstage. He may not have enjoyed that part.”

What do you hope to bring to the IAA TLC?
“I’ve got 14 years of media sales experience now so I know plenty of the clients, publishers, and agencies that we’ll need to engage with to make our events a success.”

What would you say to someone considering joining the committee?
“There is a wealth of international media experience in our committee, meaning we have experts across a variety of different media specialities. Everyone is willing to help out where they can, and the networking opportunities within the committee itself, and at the events when we get them live again, are invaluable. International media has a relatively small number of people working in it, and this is a great way to meet a large amount of them!”
