Dedicated in our mission to help you navigate your career in the media industry, IAA Speed Mentoring went online for the first time.

Our mentoring events bring together some of the media industry’s most notable figures to act as our mentors and you, the industry’s brightest young professionals as mentees – in a fast-paced hour and a half of learning.

Now, more than ever, it’s important to stay connected to the industry and we’re offering you a chance to tackle some of the key challenges that you might face in your career right now such as:

  • How to manage your internal and external relationships remotely

  • How to stay disciplined and demonstrate your value to your team

  • Mental health – making sure you’re ok

Is it for me?

If you’re working in media and want to learn from the best in the industry on how they got to where they are and how you can take steps to improve your own career development then yes, this is for you!

How does it work?

  • We’ll kick off at 12.30pm with a welcome from the IAA and some mentor introductions

  • The event will be split into 6 equal sessions of 12 minutes each with one mentor and 2-5 mentees

  • Each session will be with a different mentor

  • You will get equal time with all the advertised mentors

  • Everyone will have a chance to ask a question if they wish to

  • You will also have a chance to pre-submit questions

  • Once all the sessions have finished we’ll come back to a short mentor panel before we share some news on future events and wrap up at 2pm
